Family therapy

Family therapy is a type of group psychotherapy that helps family members improve their relationships and work through difficult situations. It can be beneficial for families experiencing a variety of challenges, including:

Family therapy can help families: Communicate better, Develop and resolve conflict, Build stronger relationships, Reduce stress, and Prevent additional family members from using drugs or alcohol.  

 

During family therapy, a therapist works with the family as a group or with individuals, or both. Therapists use a variety of techniques and tools to help families, such as cognitive behavioral therapy. A typical therapy session lasts about 50 minutes and takes place once a week.
